Beef Cube With Beer

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cubed beef
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 bottle of lager
  • 1 tsp maple mustard... (or Dijon)
  • 1 tsp maple vinegar ... (or red wine)
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 1 cup diced turnip
  • 1 packet of dehydrated mushrooms or 125 ml fresh
  • Salt and pepper to taste


Preparation

  1. Melt the butter in a frying pan. Coat cubes with flour and brown in butter.

  2. When golden brown, add the beer bottle and scrape the bottom of the pan.

  3. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes.

  4. Add remaining ingredients and continue cooking for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

  5. Add water if necessary.
